Hokuloa
Description:
The spathe on “Hokuloa” measures 5.5” long and 4.75” wide, and is broad and heart shaped with open lobes. The spadix is light yellow to white when young, and white when mature. The color is clear white and given the Hawaiian name for the planet Venus, evoking Romantic (Hawaiian) nights. Flower yield for a four year period recorded annual yields of 6.6 flowers per plant per year. The vase life was recorded at 37 days. The resistance to fungus and bacterial pathogens has been confirmed as moderate.
