Mauna Loa Obake


Description:
The spathe on “Mauna Loa” measures 10” long and 8” wide, and is broad and heart shaped with open lobes. Mauna Loa has an attractive, glossy white spathe with green edges. The spadix is light yellow; it is green when very young, and turns white when mature. Vase life and yield are excellent: flower yield recorded over several years averaged at 5.9 flowers per plant per year. Vase life of flowers averaged 40 days. This variety is resistant to fungus, tolerant to bacterial blight and is easily micro-propagated.
