Tropical Sunrise Obake

Description:
The spathe on “Tropic Sunrise” measures 12.5” long and 8.5” wide, and is broad and heart shaped with open lobes. The spadix is yellow when young and white when mature. The color intensity of a bright orange center and green lobes outside are classical of this “obake”. Flower yield over several years recorded at 6.5 flowers per plant per year. Vase life recorded at 32 days for blooms, which can be considered excellent for yield and vase life. The resistance to fungus and bacterial pathogens has been confirmed as moderate.
